Neil Tomkins

Neil Tomkins is an award wining emerging Australian artist who is well worth collecting and supporting for his celebrated, joyful and evocative art, which captures the  essence of the Australian landscape or the subject as he sees it.

Tomkins most enjoys painting en plien air whilst utilising photography as a platform to explore landscape he often breaks down the subject matter into fragments and then rebuilds it through collage before progressing to a completed painting.

Neil has also been involved in various artists residencies and studio programs in Ireland, Portugal, Peru, South America, Mexico & Tasmania. His work is currently held in private collections throughout Australia, South America, Mongolia, Mexico and New York.

Neil Tomkins was a finalist in the 2020 Archibald Prize awarded by the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Other recognition’s have followed since then including The Paddington Art Prize and it’s likely to only be a matter of time before he wins one of the big ones. Watch this space!
