Anthony Bennett

Anthony Bennett, currently lives and works mainly from his Sydney studio. Bennett has been a finalist in the Archibald Prize twice and once each in the Wynne Prize the Sulman Prize, as well as the Doug Moran Art Prize.

He has held over a dozen solo exhibitions around Australia since graduating from the Queensland College of Art in 1999 and has had residencies in Tokyo, Florence Italy and Bundanon Australia.

His work focuses largely on portraiture of superheroes both from comic books of his youth and from the art world and has been described as destructive expressionism with post-Minogue-ist pop iconoclastic tendencies.

Anthony Bennett like any great artist is a rebel and a genius!
